THE STORY
"After more than 25 years of consulting for elite labels - Araujo, Dalla Valle, Moraga Vineyards, Niebaum-Coppola, Spottswoode, Viader Vineyard - and the success of his own Etude Winery, Tony Soter is returning to his native state of Oregon to pursue his dream of owning his own vineyard and making his own wine, as it is done in Burgundy. Located on the north fork of Chehalem Valley, the vineyard has 22 acres planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It was originally planted in 1988 but new plantings were added in 1998 and 1999. Tony still retains a consulting position at Etude Winery, but focuses his efforts here at Soter Vineyards."
These wines will arrive on Tuesday, June 16th.

Soter Mineral Springs 2006

The 2006 Pinot Noir Mineral Springs has an especially expressive bouquet with floral notes, pain grille, damp earth, black raspberry, and blueberry. On the palate, the wine is layered, bordering on opulent. The savory, ripe, spicy dark fruit flavors persist into a lengthy, velvety textured finish. Give it 2-3 years and drink it from 2011 to 2020.
