THE STORY
This wine is from the appellation Tierra del Vino de Zamora, in Castilla y Leon, Spain. The wine is made from the grape locally called Tinta de Toro. The vines produce very low yields of 1to 2 kilograms per vine. There are many un-grafted vines to be found in both areas. The soil composition is comprised of a top layer of gravel over very sandy soils, and six feet below, a layer of red clay. The continental climatic weather conditions are the same as in Toro.
