Gilbert Picq Chablis (Burgundy, France) 2010
89-91 Rating from Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar One Day Special - Only $14.99, Lowest Price in America!

THE STORY
It seems almost impossible for us to offer an authentic, high quality Chablis at $14.99, but that exactly what we're doing today.
The Domaine of Gilbert Picq et Ses Fils is one of the lovely, small, up-and-coming producers that dot the Chablisienne landscape. The Picq style of Chablis is very classic, with the inimitable expression of minerality that the Chardonnay only picks up in these rolling hillside vineyards of the Yonne Valley, coupled to racy acidity and fine depth that comes with low yields, meticulous winemaking, and fine parcels of vines.
Gilbert Picq's 2010 Chablis is superb at any price. We urge you to read Steve Tanzer's 89-91 point review re-printed below. No way a wine of this quality should sell for $14.99. But from Wine Legend, as a one day special offering, that's our price, the lowest in the nation. White Burgundy fans should load the trunk with cases at this price!

Gilbert Picq Chablis 2010
"I tasted an approximate blend of five components after tasting each of them separately from stainless steel tanks. Picq will begin to bottle in August and will finish next June, with the objective of creating blends that are as similar as possible. Bright green-tinged yellow. Lemon-lime, tarragon and flowers on the enticing nose..."

Gilbert Picq Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin 2010
"Green-tinged bright yellow. Aromas of Poire William, flinty minerality and honey. Rich, sweet and fined-grained, with terrific concentration to the pineapple and ripe pear flavors. This strong, mouthfilling wine's glyceral character will make it easy to enjoy young. The sugar fermentation did not end until February, which probably explains this wine's richness of texture. Not exactly typical but this downright sexy wine will be easy to enjoy in its youth."
