It was the 1990 vintage that launched Terrabianco Campaccio on the wine map is Robert Parker gave this debut wine 93 points, crowning it with instant credibility as a major wine of Tuscany. Subsequent vintages have been quite consistent – both in style and quality. This is a modern-styled Tuscan wine featuring delicious, sexy, spicy ripe Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon fruit cradled in a touch of oak.

Terrabianca Campaccio has been a staple at Wine Legend for many years and we readily admit our bias toward this wine. But with the 2006 vintage, which was spectacular throughout Tuscany for red wines, we have a Campaccio that rivals the 1990! So why is it “only” rated 91? Probably because Galloni tasted a barrel sample and Suckling tasted it before the wine had evolved.

We recently tasted the 2006 in the store. Wow, this wine is better than 91 points, more nuanced and complex than the esteemed critics have suggested! The wine was released to sell for $30, well worth the money. But our $21.99 price is dramatically better.

Bottom line: this is a great deal on a terrific wine!
