Montes makes one of the top Chilean Cabernets year after year, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Intense ruby in color with red fruit evocation of blackcurrant, chocolate and cigar box, in balance with well-integrated oak (French Alliers). This is a wine of great complexity in the mouth. In the mid-palate, Montes Alpha Cabernet 2007 is full-bodied and balanced with lasting persistence and a remarkable finish. Although a superb wine as it is, it may also be considered as a great wine for cellaring. All of this for $15.99? Believe it!
