THE STORY
"Tait Wines is a family owned winery located in the famous Barossa Valley, in South Australia. The Tait name has been involved in the wine industry for more than 100 years, practising the art of cooperage. Tait Wines is continuing this involvement by producing premium quality wines.
It is our philosophy that all quality wine starts in the vineyard. The Barossa fruit we use is always very low yielding and produces highly concentrated flavors and aromas. Tait Wines produce all wine on site to ensure quality and consistency. We use traditional winemaking methods including open fermentation, extended maceration and basket pressing – we feel our wines display our uncompromising pursuit of excellence."

Tait Ball Buster Barossa Valley 2008

"The Ball Buster is a perennial Best Buy in these pages. There are 15,000
cases of Tait's 2008 Ball Buster, a blend of 76% Shiraz, 12% Cabernet
Sauvignon, and 12% Merlot aged for 12 months in seasoned, predominantly
American oak. Opaque purple-colored, it offers up a fragrant perfume of
pencil lead, licorice, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur.
Layered, savory, and long on the palate, this well-balanced, pleasure-bent
effort will drink well for another 4-6 years."

D'arenberg Stump Jump Shiraz 2008

Ripe and open-textured, this is impressive for the way it packs in the cherry, blackberry and raspberry flavors and doesn't take the foot off the gas pedal until the mineral-inflected finish has played through. Drink now through 2018. 5,000 cases imported.
