Mas De Gourgonnier Rose Les Baux De Provence 2009
A year-in year-out favorite. In a beautifully secluded valley in the
heart of Provence, the Cartier family has organically farmed olives,
apricots and, of course, grapes since 1948. Like most classic Provençal
rosé, Grenache dominates the blend, with Syrah, Mourvèdre,
Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cinsault rounding it out in roughly
equal quantities. This rosé refreshes like a white but drinks more

Domaine Lafond Tavel Rose 2009
Lafond is a family-run domaine located in the village of Tavel'an
appellation that produces only rosé, and some of the world's most
highly regarded at that. Lafond's Tavel is comprised of 60% Grenache,
with smaller quanitites of Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, and
other more minor Rhône varietals. The grapes are hand-harvested,
with an extended maceration to impart its signature deep, vivid
pink color. Like a great Tavel, this wine displays uncommon depth,
complexity and minerality.
