THE STORY
'This year, Viņa De Martino is 75 years old and is celebrating in style! It was back in 1934 when Don Pietro De Martino Pascualone first foot on Chilean soil. His dream was to produce quality wines with character. He based himself in the small, picturesque village of Isla de Maipo, 50 kms south west of Santiago and located next to the banks of the River Maipo. This would prove to be a stroke of genius and foresight.
Four generations later many significant achievements and milestones have been passed along, including deep passion and plenty of hard work. The family's vision of "Reinventing Chile " has transformed itself into their trademark and been the pillar of their mission in terms of investigation, sustainability and leadership, and it can safely be said that they are pioneers of the Chilean wine industry.'

De Martino Cabernet Malbec 2007
The opaque purple 2007 Cabernet-Malbec from Maipo was made with organically grown grapes. Aromas of cigar box, violets, cinnamon, blackcurrant and blackberry lead to a medium- to full-bodied elegant wine reminiscent of a quality Medoc. Built to age, nicely balanced and already showing some complexity, this lengthy effort will offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2022.
